West of 22 Productions Inc is a Film and Sound Studio as well as Event space that offers a rare, fully integrated production environment in the heart of Didsbury—combining studio, sound, and on-location filming into one seamless experience. A standout feature is the western-themed event centre, complete with an outdoor façade and patio. While it delivers authentic western character right out of the box, the space is highly adaptable and can be easily transformed to suit a range of period productions—from the roaring twenties to other historical eras—making it a versatile asset for creative storytelling.

Located within Alberta’s rural incentive zone, eligible projects can also benefit from the 30% tax credit—further enhancing value. Deposits: To secure facility and rentals a booking deposit and a damage deposit are required. See details in our Pricing Schedule (PDF).
Additional Details
Facility setup and take down must occur within the rental period.
Green Room can be set up for movie screening (mini cinema) – includes 23’ movie screen and can seat up to 200 people theatre style.
Saloon can accommodate up to 40 people with tables and includes an 85” TV.
Renter is responsible for all licenses required to show movies and/or serve alcohol.

To determine their legal workplace duties and rights, employers/producers, supervisors and working professionals are urged to refer to the actual legislation.
These safety Guidelines are intended to provide a user-friendly guide to those utilizing West of 22 Productions Inc. facilities. These Guidelines should be referred to as the minimum standards for Health and Safety. These Guidelines do not replace the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the relevant Regulations.
